Thanks Beatriz for your video post! It is true that online assessments should give students flexibility. Most students register for online course due to that one specific reason: flexibility. This is something I will definitely need to incorporate into my instructional designs for future development. The challenges that you listed were very helpful as well. Kearns (2012) stated in her research article that faculty faced challenges with online assessments due to authenticity and academic integrity. Educational technologists have a long way to go in perfecting assessments, but it is encouraging to see the progress that is being made.
